Part Time Studies Courses
Space, Time, Imagination Fall 2002
This course is designed to establish a foundation in media literacy with particular focus on developing critical analysis of the experimental animation art form. Students will be involved with screening and critique of a series of innovative visual and technological animated films. The structure of the class will consist of screenings, critical analysis and technical process discussions. Completion of assigned reading, journal writing, formal critique presentation, and daily attendance is required.
Video Production Winter 2003
Students in this intensive production course will be introduced to principles of visual composition and technical processes of location video and audio recording. Students will be required to complete a variety of video projects: a continuity exercise, an interview exercise, a solo performance, and a documentary project. This course is designed to reinforce a critical perspective of the moving image and to encourage an awareness of principles for effective collaboration.
Introduction to Media Presentation Spring 2003
This course is designed to introduce students to basic techniques of media production. Through screenings, readings, and technical workshops students will develop a critical overview of the consumption and production of media. Students will gain basic skills in image making, digital video and audio production and post production techniques. Students will be expected to produce a final project using a variety of mediums.Other
