Back to school

It's been 23 years since I dropped out of college to work in the computer industry, and now I find myself going back to school!

The second time around is MUCH better than it was the first time. Back then, I was still burnt out from my 11 years in the California school system, and was having trouble dealing with going to classes every day, instead of enjoying the \"freedom\" that college afforded.

I had always assumed that I would go back to school some day, and ended up enrolling at Evergreen on a whim. My girlfriend is a librarian at Pierce College, and came down here for a tour of the LEED accredited Seminar II buildings, as they are going through a library remodel and considering LEED accreditation. I tagged along because it sounded cool to me.

After the tour, we wandered down to the beach. As we were walking back up Laurie commented that she could really see me attending Evergreen. Oddly enough, I had been thinking the exact same thing.

The Academic Fair for the winter quarter was a couple days later. I showed up and decided to give it a go. The rest you can find by reading my pages on each class.

If anyone happens to come across this page while considering returning to school, go for it! I especially encourage you to find a school that meets your true interests, don't just go back with a career in mind.
