Each year TESC-Tacoma students develop end of the year community-based projects that are presented to the public. The projects are developed throughout the year and build upon the knowledge and skills gained each quarter. Typically, students identify a topic connected to their area of interest fall quarter and begin enhancing their understanding of this subject through in-depth research and analysis directed towards exploring strategies to remedy or address pressing social, economic, or environmental problems. This spring, students will present their research in the forms of workshops, interactive information booths, dialog circles, print and multimedia, technology, art installations, etc.
The focus of this year’s community fair is "Health and the Environment." Projects showcased at the fair will present strategies Evergreen - Tacoma students have identified through research to address and remedy community problems. Highlighted are those "doable acts" that all people can perform to improve the overall quality of life for themselves, their families and the community.
