Welcome!

My name is Danielle Beamish. I am a first year Master in Teaching student at the Evergreen State college. I will graduate next year with a masters in teaching and a Washington State Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education.

I want to be a Master Teacher.  I want to inspire students the way many of my teachers inspired me.  My third grade teacher had a passion for reading.  Through the communication of her passion she was able to encourage me to discover the benefits of reading.  When I become a teacher, I will bring my natural connection with children and my educational preparation together, which will in turn help students discover their own excitement for learning.  This is important because children who are not given the chance to capture the excitement and benefits of education are less likely to continue on in their learning after high school.
