Objectives:

This graduate program provides an overview of the design of research projects and the analysis of data, especially quantitative data. We begin the framing of research questions by choosing credible methods of measurement, exploring established methods of testing hypothesis and selecting analytical techniques. In the course of this quarter’s studies we will also explore the fundamentals of inferential statistics, including analysis of frequency data with binomial and normal distributions, t-tests, chi-square tests, linear regression, correlation and ANOVA. Students will learn the use of EXCEL in statistical calculations.
