Please complete and hand in the Self-Evaluation Worksheet to your evaluation faculty by the end of this week. Students leaving the program should also complete a formal self-evaluation and faculty evaluation and bring these to your evaluation conference next week. Math Homework update: Question 6 involves complex eigenvalues and eigenvectors. Don't sweat this problem -- it will not be one of the four that I look at. We will have math workshop today at the usual time and place.

Here is a link to the US census bureau International Database, where you can get some of the data we looked at in class today. Also see the fascinating video of Hans Rosling talking about interpreting this data. You can use the Gapminder World software onlline.

NOTE: There is conflicting information about the due date of the biology take home exam. On the exam it states that it is due Monday, whereas the weekly schedule states Tuesday. Thus, I will make the due date TUESDAY, JANUARY 29th in biology workshop.

The biology take home exam was posted on Sunday. It can be found under "work" and "assignments" week 3. There are two primary literature papers associated with the exam. They can be found there as well.

In the next two weeks the campus will host potential geology faculty members. In addition to presentations in our program, they will also give public presentations open to the entire campus. The first will be on Tuesday, January 8 from 12-1 in Seminar II, C3107. Erick Burns will give a presentation on "The role of ancient rivers in the water resources of today."
