Weíre going to use the learning logs again this quarter. As they did last quarter, Terry and Sherry will pose questions each week for you to explore in writing. The purpose is to help you solidify and deepen your understanding of the concepts we study.

Unlike last quarter, we ALSO want you to pose a question of your own each week and answer it in writing. The question should help you tie together theory and practice, history of education, and psychosocial and moral development, and apply what we study to your own learning and to your examination of effective teaching.

You will be using material in the learning log entries to develop theses and write two synthesis papers during the quarter. One of these papers is due in Week 4 and the other is due Week 8.

Also, unlike last quarter, everyone needs to TYPE her/his learning log. You will be exchanging learning logs during writersí workshop and responding to each otherís entries. Typed entries will be easier to read !
