Mission Statement

The Evergleaners organize student volunteers to gather surplus food for distribution to the low and no-income members of Thurston County in collaboration with The Gleaners Coalition. We hope to educate the campus community about issues relating to hunger and homelessness.

05/13/06 Farming at the Kiwanis Food Bank Garden
The work party is from 9am to 12pm. We'll be meeting at the dorm loop @ 8:30am, carpool provided. Bring your bikes because it is a quick ride to Kaiser and 14th. Kiwanis donates 15,000 lbs of food each year and they need our help to keep up the farm and expand operation. RSVP Andrew at yanand30@evergeen.edu

04/08/06 Volunteers needed at Sister Holly Youth Farm this Saturday!!!

The Evergleaners unite with GRuB on Saturday from 1-4pm to help prepare raised beds, plant seeds, and mulch. We extend an invitation to the Evergreen community.

04/12/06 Support the Evergleaners by coming to their S&A Board meeting.

Next Wednesday @ 4:25pm, we need all the people we can get to prove to the S&A Board that we are a group worthy of survival.

In our Operational Budget Report for summer and fall quarter, we are requesting money for van rentals, art supplies, and tools for gleaning.

The meeting will be located in the Student Activities Conference Room. Represent!!!Contact
