Olympia, Washington. Ph.D., Computer Science and Engineering, Oregon Graduate

- Teaching -- I came to Evergreen in 1982 when, with 12 years experience
as a programmer and systems analyst, I was hired to teach some courses
at Evergreen. The students captured my heart, and I applied for a permanent
position. I am committed to working with colleagues and students to build
a wonderful interdisciplinary computer science curriculum in the liberal
arts tradition and I typically teach Student Originated Software (SOS)
every other year. In fall 1996-97, I'm teaching Environmental
Change and Health. I shall be on leave winter and spring. For more,
"Judy's teaching".
- Research Interests -- Scientific databases,
software engineering, and integrating research results into the undergraduate
curriculum.
