Sphinx Sponsor meeting Minutes

Date: February 12th, 3:00 pm Location: ACC G4 workstation

Attendance: Kelly, Randy, Steve, Geoff, and Alex

Introductions: Geoff & Steve to Kelly

Item 1: Demo of backend functionality

Demonstration went well.

Item 2: Assumptions made about outline view:

Kelly asked if we could model the Outliner after PowerPoint.

    1. Mainly uses mouse to click arrow buttons to promote or demote
    2. Would like up & down arrow buttons
    3. Keyboard shortcuts ok but not required
    4. Drag & drop ok but not required

Item 3: Mapper and Wireframer functionality refinement

Went through complete set of screen shots taken from Inspiration and PowerPoint. We highlighted mandatory menu items, discussed optional functionality, identified features that they have no use for, and talked about toolbar layout and location. (Refer to notes on drawings for details, itemized list to follow).

Item 4: Project expectations, Proof of concept, Minimum functionality set

Kelly understands that this is a huge undertaking, and that there is a risk that we may not be able to develop a fully functional application in the time required.

We tentatively decided on the last week of April for our next meeting. I suggested that our team visit their office in Seattle so Geoff and Steve could see it. (Our goal for this meeting should be to deliver a disc containing complete GUI with minimal/partial functionality that will load and run on their computers).

Item 5: Anything else…

Kelly will use his contacts with Apple to help us find resources for Cocoa/Java development

Kelly suggested that we check out "The Vermont Recipes" as a possible resource
