Welcome! My
name is Lena Kline-Shedd. I have been working with Evergreen for
over 5 years now. I currently provide support to First Peoples' Advising
Services and the Career Development Center. I work for organizations
that are very student centered. You can approach me at almost any
time and I will try to be available to answer concerns, refer information,
listen, or assist you to the best of my abilities.
About
the Programs I Work For
First Peoples' Advising Services
is part of Student and Academic Support Services. This program is
designed to provide academic, personal and financial aid information, referral
and assistance particular to the community of color. Ricardo Leyva-Puebla
is the Director, Nani Jackins-Park is the Coordinator for the Peer Support
Program and I am the Office Assistant III. Peer Counselors, made
up of seasoned Evergreen Students, are available to assist you with the
services above in an information basis.
Career Development is a program designed to assist you with your Career and Lifework planning. The types of services available are: Career Counseling; Resume Writing; Job Search Strategies; Employer Information; Interview Techniques; Graduate School Information. In addition there is a large resource library, Mock testing for the Graduate Records Exam, Workshops, Career Fairs, Graduate School/Internship Fairs, and a lot more. Wendy Freeman is the Director/Counselor, Stacia Lewis is a Career Counselor, Edwin Bliss is the Career Counselor for Part-Time, Evening Weekend Studies, and I am the Office Assistant III.
