The mission of the National Audubon Society is to conserve and restore natural ecosystems focusing on birds and other wildlife for the benefit of humanity and the earth's biological diversity. Founded in 1905, the organization is named for John James Audubon (1785-1851), famed ornithologist, explorer and wildlife artist.

Music for Healing and Transition Program
The Music for Healing and Transition Program, in recognition of music as a therapeutic enhancement to the healing process and the life/death transition, prepares musicians to serve the ill, dying, and to all those who may benefit, by providing music as a service to create healing environments. MHTP graduates are known as "Music Practitioners." To advance our student interns in the development of their skills we affiliate with health care facilities and community organizations.
