Curso: Una Revolución Pedagógica para América Latina

Con el apoyo del Profesor Manuel Solis Gómez, Vice-Rector Académico de la Universidad Nacional de Educación "Enrique Guzmán y Valle" de Chosica, Lima, Perú; se inició el Seminario: Una Revolución Pedagógica Para AMERICA LATINA en el Auditorio Principal de la sede central de la universidad. El objetivo único: participar en una nueva educación centrada en el estudiante. Los participantes fueron profesores de la universidad, profesores de escuelas y colegios y estudiantes de la misma universidad.

Temas fundamentales del seminario:

  • Quien tiene el poder en el aula?
  • La Taxonomia de Bloom y la Teoria de las Inteligencias Multiples.
  • La Pedagogia del Oprimido de Pablo Freire en The Evergreen State College.
Nota: todos estos temas fueron tratados en un ambiente constructivista. Los participantes aprendieron el proceso y se hicieron cargo del seminario despues de la cuarta sesión. Los que sabían un poco de computación y los que nunca habían utilizado una computadora, aprendieron (usando esta nueva pedagogía) a preparar sus presentaciones en multimedia.		 With strong support from the office of Provost Manuel Solis Gómez, TESC faculty Raúl Nakasone taught a short course on Freire's Pedagogy of the Oppressed and the use of Freire's pedagogical ideas in Evergreen. The most time spent was in paradigm change from an education centered in the teacher to a different approach to education centered in the student. Participants were very enthusiastic and eager to experience a new focus on education. The only objective: to experience a student-centered approach to education. There were participants from the faculty, school teachers and students from the university.

Main topics:

  • Who holds the power in the classroom?
  • Bloom's Taxonomy and Gardner's Multiple Intelligences Theory.
  • Paulo Freire's Pedagogy of the Oppressed in The Evergreen State College.
Note: these themes were discussed in a constructivist environment. Participants learned the process and became responsible of the remaining sessions right after our 4th. meeting. The ones who were computer literate and the ones who knew nothing, were able to learn (using this new pedagogy) the use of multimedia presentations.
