Gamagori City
My father was born in Yagaji Jima in Okinawa Japan in April 26th. 1907. When he was only 17 years old, he traveled to Peru accepting the invitation from his older brother who had immigrated to South America years before. Jinsei Nakasone was my Father's name and in Peru he had to adopt the name of Juan Nakasone Tamaki. He met my Mother Simona Suarez Enero, a mestizo lady from Jauja in the Junin Department in Peru in 1925. They started the Nakasone Suarez family made up of seven children, 26 grandchildren and approximately 37 great-grandchildren. My oldest brother is deceased now his name was Victor Yukio Nakasone Suarez, my sister Felicia and my brothers Juan Maximo, Luis, Alfonso and Willy all live in Peru except for Alfonso who now lives in Japan.
My brother Alfonso, his five children, 3 nephews and 2 nieces live in Gamagori today. Here is a link to the City of Gamagori http://www.city.gamagori.aichi.jp/english/welcome-e.html
