Rob Preston's Webpage

Member of the 2006-2008 MIT Cohort

My name is Rob Preston, and I am interested in teaching mathematics at the middle school level. I want to teach because I love to learn and am excited about learning. Specifically, I want to teach math because I see it as a subject that presents both the opportunity to learn and the opportunity to reflect on how we learn and how we think. My main goal in becoming a mathematics teacher is to present math in a way that is both relevant and fun, and, in doing so, I hope to help students bypass or overcome math phobia.
