Cephaloleia fenestrata Weise

Head, pronotum, scutellum, legs, and basal two antennal segments red; elytra black with six reddish spots. Head: medial sulcus present; vertex very finely punctate; frons with white setae. Antennae: black except segments I-II which are reddish-yellow; I elongate, as long as II-IV combined; II transverse; III-IV with projection on inner margins; V-X cylindrical; XI pointed at apex; III-XI setose. Pronotum: slightly wider than long; sparsely punctate at sides; deep sulcus along lateral margins; anterior angles produced with rounded tooth; posterior angles oblique; sparsely punctate laterally; impunctate medially. Scutellum: triangular; pointed at apex; alutaceous. Elytra: yellow with black maculae; wider than pronotum; parallel-sided; apices rounded-truncate; disc flat, sharp declivity at puncture row; 8 rows of punctures, rows confused near apex; black sutural vitta from puncture rows 1 to 4; lateral vitta narrows from base to apex. Legs: femora, especially profemora, robust. Total length: 6.4-8.0 mm.

Adults collected on Pleiostachya pruinosa (Marantaceae).
