Homalispa nevermanni Uhmann

Antennae, eyes, legs, and apical half of elytra black, remainder yellow. Head: vertex sparsely punctate; medial sulcus absent; antennal depression triangular; row of punctures on inner margin of each eye. Antennae: filiform; segment I reddish-brown; II-XI black; I short, robust; II longer than I, shorter than III; IV subequal in length to III; VI-X decreasing in length; XI rounded at apex; III-XI hirsute. Pronotum: widest at base; posterior angles acute; anterior angles with rounded tooth; basal margin bisinuate; anterior margin sinuate behind head; side margins convergent from base to apex; side margins lipped; convex; disc impunctate; large shallow punctures at sides. Scutellum: triangular; yellow. Elytra: side margins sparsely dentate; apical margin dentate; 10th puncture row distant from margin; punctures moderately impressed. Venter: prosternum yellow; mesosternum yellow in middle, black at sides; metasternum and abdomen black; mesosternum punctate; abdomen with whitish setae. Legs: profemora yellowish at base; meso- and metafemora black; tibiae with fringe of setae at apex. Total length: 6.5 mm.
