Prosopodonta distincta (Baly)

Hispinae, Chrysomelidae, Coleoptera, Insecta, Arthropoda, Animalia


Oblong, convex; antennae and pronotum black. Head: vertex and front impunctate; front with longitudinal sulcus. Antennae: more than half body length; filiform, slightly thickened toward apex; segment III slender, subequal in length to I-II combined. Pronotum: wider than long; side margins sinuate and parallel from base to beyond middle, then rounded and converging to apex; disc convex, smooth; sparsely punctate at sides. Elytra: oblong, convex, slightly flattened on anterior 2/3; humeri compressed laterally into short carina; punctate-striate, intervals costate on sides and at apex. Legs: males with tooth on femora. Total length: 5.6 mm.
