| Scutum in front of tegulae yellow; thoracic pleura black. | Pile of face mixture of yellow and black. | Gastral terga 5 and 6 white. |
Identification- This common species is easily identified by its white pile on gastral terga 5 and 6.
Geography- B. occidentalis is found in the Western states from central British Columbia to central California.
