Identification- This species can be seperated from the other species with only a single yellow thoracic stripe (B. californicus) by the color of the pile on the head. In B. vosnesenskii species the head pile is all yellow, in B. californicus it is black.

Geography- B. vosnesenskii is found in the Pacific coast states from Washington to California.
