Patrick J. Crist is Science Applications Manager for NatureServe, an international information technology non-profit organization specializing in the conservation of biodiversity (www.natureserve.org). Previously he was the National Program Coordinator for the USGS Gap Analysis Program (GAP); a nationwide biodiversity assessment program. He has a B.S. in landscape architecture from California Polytechnic (1984) and M.L.A. in landscape architecture and regional planning from the University of Pennsylvania (1992) and Ph.D. in Natural Resources (May 2003) from the University of Idaho. Previously, he was the New Mexico state GAP coordinator and worked in the San Francisco area as a landscape architect for six years.
Work:
I manage and apply our NatureServe Vista software which is a direct fit to the Tools group and strongly related to Data Presentation, Integration, Data Gaps, Indicators, Modeling, and Data Quality groups.
