- Bio
- I am a second year student in the Master of Environmental Studies Program at Evergreen. I am currently the project organizer for a team of 7 MES students who have received a P3 award from the EPA to design a web-based software system that will evaluate living roof systems for residential, commercial, and institutional procurers. The focus of our project is data collection on living roofs in the Pacific Northwest.
- I am writing my masters thesis on living roof potential and policy in Washington State.
- I have a BA from the University of Washington with a double major in Political Science and Society and Justice. I also have a certificate from UW Extension in e-commerce and web database programming. Prior to coming to Evergreen I worked as a Web Production Specialist at ImageX inc.
- Work:
- I have been writing code in a variety of programming languages since the early 1990s. I am intrigued by anything that is technology related Since choosing to focus on the environmental field, particularly green building and ecological design, I have had contact with various environmental models. I see well designed information systems as a cornerstone to informed decision making in environmental policy. I hope that I will be able to learn more from ecoinformatics practitioners through the course of this conference.
