Tyrone Wilson is a Senior Biologist with the U.S. Geolocical Survey (USGS), National Biological Information Infrastructure (NBII).
Tyrone has also worked at USGS as a biologist on the Ecosystems Team and as invasive species program assistant on the Invasive Species Program, both positions were within the USGS Biological Resources Division. Prior to his government experience Tyrone held various industry positions including Director of Technical Affairs with the International Bottled Water Association, Associate Director of Technical Communications with the American Plastics Council, and Quality Assurance Manager with The Kroger Company.
Tyrone earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Morgan State University, Master of Science degree in Food Science from Penn State University, and Doctor of Philosophy degree in Environmental Science and Public Policy from George Mason University.
Work:
Dr. Wilson's primary duties include representing NBII in working with other federal science/research agencies, as well as science NGOs, to support research and other eco-informatic projects which are consistent with NBII\'s mission to provide available and open access to ecological and environmental data.
