SCHeMA Technical and R&R Director:


Kathleen Connor is FOX Systems' HIPAA Technical Architect. She previously served as the HIPAA Project Director for the State of Washington Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), and has over 12 years of state government experience. Under her direction, the DSHS HIPAA project developed numerous nationally recognized best practices for conducting Medicaid HIPAA assessment activities. 

Ms. Connor is an avid advocate of e-Government for HIPAA, for which she has made presentations to national conferences.  She is a voting member of WEDI/SNIP and X12N organization, where she co-chairs the Harmonization and Modeling Work Group.

 

Ms. Connor studied for her undergraduate degree in Political Science and Economics at Reed College and The Evergreen State College.  She received her Teacher Certification as well as a Master of Public Administration degree from The Evergreen State College, where she was the recipient of the Master of Public Administration Fellowship for 1990.
