When You Arrive

  1. THURSDAY, JAN 26 - When you check in at the hotel on Thursday, there will be a 'small' packet for you, that contains a nametag for the Thursday evening reception, and how to get to Wallenberg Hall at Stanford Friday morning.

We will provide heavy hors d'oeuvres and light beverages at the reception. Dinner is at your own expense, and a group will probably self-organize at the reception, if you are interested.
  2. FRIDAY, JAN 27 - A continental breakfast will be available at Wallenberg Hall at 8:30. There will be a shuttle from the hotel (specifics available in your packet). At Wallenberg you will find a second packet, with more nametags, the agenda, hard copies of the white papers, a packet of paper, etc.. If you want to review the white papers Thursday night, you should bring your own copy, or access them over the web.

Eric and I will email more specifics about the breakout groups on Monday or Tuesday, along with requests for some of you to serve as facilitators or scribes. Each breakout group can appoint its own presenter. All materials generated by the breakout groups will be made available on the web in as close to real time as we can manage.
  3. We will provide Friday dinner at a local Palo Alto restaurant - Zibbibos. Those who want to carpool should meet in the lobby at 6:15. Like most everything in Palo Alto, this is probably within walking distance.
  4. SATURDAY, JAN 28. Again, a shuttle will to Wallenberg will be provided, and a continental breakfast awaits at 8:30. There are no parking fees at Stanford on Saturday. Thus, those who have cars and checkout of the hotel Saturday morning and wish to leave the area immediately following our meetings (at 1:30) can easily park on campus.
