I call this the half-white Chanterelle. It is a variant of the all-white Cantharellus subalbidus, the White Chanterelle, found in coastal areas of the Pacific Northwest. The White Chanterelle is meaty, edible and choice, though as with all foods, there are a few people who will not be able to eat Chanterelles without stomach upset.
