Slide 80.
Ramaria sandaracina is a medium to small orange species, a member of what Kit Scates Barnhart describes as the Orange Maze, a complex bunch of look-alike orange colored Ramaria species. To further complicate matters, all Ramaria species change color as they age and most wind up a cardboard color in old age. Consequently I confine myself to enjoying these mushrooms strictly for their beauty. After all it is the beauty, diversity and interesting ecology of mushrooms that primarily fuel my interests and not the edibility that I have emphasized in most of this program.

I hope that you all grow to enjoy mushrooms as I do. Thank you for listening.
