Russula pelargonia looks just like some variants of Russula xerampelina, except that it has a distinctive odor of geraniums. Since I do not find the odor tempting, I have never tried eating this species. Ultimately, unless many people eat a mushroom and have no ill effects, we cannot know whether or not the species is edible. Russula pelargonia is never the less delightful to find.
