Plectania nannfeldtii, the Black Snowbank Cup fungus, is a neat little goblet cup attached to buried wood by a cylindrical base up to 6 cm, over 2 inches, long. It is a common snowbank mushroom, though its small size and black color makes it easy to over-look.
