With a firm understanding of region and boundary developed in Lesson One and Two Lesson Three will help make clear how these terms apply to the Pacific Northwest. The quiz also demonstrates the broad multi disciplinary nature of geography. Surface aspects of physical science, social studies, economics, and civics are touched on in that each of these fields is evident in the questions. In first presenting this excursion into cyber space some of us were surprised at the mass, depth and variety of information available through the Virtual Atlas. The Virtual Atlas helps us organize this mass of information into a usable geographic context. It is an excellent introduction to the art of web browsing.
