Cody Massing

April 30, 2000

7:10PM

We left Evergreen at a little after 10 this morning. It was sunny all the way over the mountains and still is here. We arrived in Tekoa at 6, and then found the trail. The sun is setting now and the air is cooling down rapidly. It was pretty warm today - in the 70’s. The terrain has been pretty much the same -rolling hills of wheat fields, sage brush, and occasionally clumps of pine trees.

A few types of wildflowers are in full bloom. I could see them from the car, so they were hard to identify. The blue was Lupin Dan the yellow possibly black-eyed susan, but I didn’t get a close look. We stopped in Cheney to buy dinner.
