Location: N47degrees11.75 W117degrees12.108
Alt.:2400 ft
Temperature and Weather: about 70 degrees, clear sky, small breeze
Habitat: Trail in between wheat fields as far as one can see, short to medium grasses
Comments: From the first point, the trail has gone through small groves of apple trees, a few pine, and a little aspen (?). Three hawks sited, three pheasants, several butterflies - 3 kinds: one black with some white and red, other orange and brown (painted lady?), other yellow.
Some groves of pine trees in the distance. A
few short shrubs, ditches at times on the trail side. Several species of flies
and bees.

Temperature and Weather: 80 degrees, clear sky, slight breeze
Habitat: grain and wheat fields (mostly fallow) - We’re on a hill, and down below is a meandering stream with lush green grass and a wetland, a few short shrubs, not many trees.
Comments: Trail has been pretty much the same - gravelly base, grass on sides, little water. Saw two coyotes.
Notes:
Rained all night, very windy
