Day 1
Departed Evergreen State College at 10:00AM. I am walking across the entire state of Washington with my girlfriend Cody, one of my professors, Martha, Scott, Danae, Chris, and Chris’s dog Brandy.
Arrived in Tekoa at the trailhead around 7:00PM.
Weather: Clear skies, approx. 70 degrees Fahrenheit. Sky is filled with mare’s tails clouds.
Wildlife seen today:
Coyote! (first of many, hopefully); several magpies, grouse, pheasant Group
was in pretty good spirits in the van ride out. Dean and Ryan, our weekly drop
providers, drove us to the trailhead. The day was spent driving and shopping
for food. Passed through many very small towns.
