I'm in my tent writing by headlamp.  The last light is disappearing and night has begun.  Just
finished some light housekeeping which consisted of emptying the leftovers from Brandy's
dinner into her stash.  She's getting spoiled, her appetite!  Tonight:  Some dog food with
rainbow macaroni elbow pasta with too much cheese accompanied by sauteed cashew nuts.
Not too shabby.  The sky is clear, which means star gazing and a cold night.  Last night was
freezing!  Frost and everything.

The day was sweet.  We set off near Ritzville, walked 10 miles on the trail to the present camp.
The dynamics have changed for the next few days.  Moe, our main support crew will not be
around for the next couple days.  This means full packs and water drops. I think we've been
pampered thus far.  I'm glad to have it this way.

The topography for the day was generally rolling hills.  Agriculture and livestock were observed throughout.  Lots of sage brush.

Was visited by what is assumed a Marmot today during lunch.  Deer and coyotes are in the area.  Also big beetles, oya and ticks.

The weather was sunny and warm.  Upper 60's.  Witnessed several wind tornado puffs.  One
during lunch, swept through our spot.

Light is dying so I'm done for tonight.  Good night.
