Habitat: Sagebrush steppe with short grass, a little rocky, small thistles. Saw one rabbit and heard a few rock marmots.

Habitat: Sagebrush and short grass in every direction. Lots of black beetles out today.

Comments: Detour through Mexican fighting bulls and hail storm in back of local's truck- missed about four miles of trail.
