Greener Futures - SEED – and ERC presents:
A Draft Report / Plan on Sustainability at Evergreen State College
What is Sustainability?
For the purposes of this document the answer is:
“The State of Washington is Committed
to the mutually compatible goals of economic
vitality, a healthy Environment
and strong communities.” Gov. Gary Locke (EO 02-03)
Development of the Evergreen Sustainability Report / Plan:
1) We have mostly completed the reporting stage of
the document and now we’re incorporating a future direction, or planning
perspective. So yet again we are
asking you to skim through this outline as well as
the connected web pages.
Please formulate comments and send them to the
Environmental Resource Center
or call or email: 943-6758, deane@efn.org
or use campus mail: ERC CAB 320 #3
2) We will incorporate all of your comments as well
as further develop this
document in the first couple weeks of Spring ‘04
quarter. On Earth day we’ll then distribute hardcopies of the Evergreen 2004
Sustainability Report / Plan to the community for final comments.
3) In the second half of Spring ‘04 we will
synthesize final feedback into a
completed report / plan, which will be incorporated
into the Campus Master Plan
as an appendix.
