Paula Schofield has been a faculty member at TESC since September 1998. She received her BSc(Hons) in Chemistry from Manchester Metropolitan University, England (1990), and her PhD in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Liverpool, England (1995). Her thesis was titled  "A Study of Poly(ethylene oxide) Blends and Copolymers in the Presence of Alkali Metal Salts", under the guidance of Dr G.C. Eastmond. In 1995 she moved to the USA where she took a postdoctoral position at Cornell University , Ithaca NY, researching "Semi-flexible Polymer Networks" with Professor Claude Cohen, and she began her teaching career in 1996 when she joined the Chemistry Department at Ithaca College, NY.
