Purpose:
An understanding of disciplinary scholarship is a prerequisite for doing scholarly research, especially interdisciplinary scholarly research. The following exercise is a limited but effective way of introducing course participants to the disciplines, (Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences). A secondary purpose is to initiate the participant into keeping track of and compiling an accurate bibliography for resources used.
Activity:
The topic is lavender. Using the TESC Library Reference collection find as many references to lavender as you can within the Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, and Natural Sciences resources. Provide a full bibliographic citation for each reference.
