Lana Byal is originally from Eugene, Oregon, and is now a resident of the Olympic Peninsula. Her focus of study is forest ecology and her passions are all that wildness provides. She enjoys hiking in the mountains, exploring tropical and temperate rainforests, and swimming in cold clean rivers. Lana is committed to a future in conservation work, environmental education, and perfecting the Spanish language.
