Lin Skavdahl, after twenty-five years as a teacher and counselor in public education, once again became a student in order to participate in the Protecting Washington Wildness program at The Evergreen State College. Interviewing the leaders, past and present, who devote their lives to preserving and restoring wildness was the most educational and inspiring process she has ever experienced. She is a seasonal park ranger for the Wilderness District of the North Cascades National Park Complex and plans the return to school counseling in the off-season.
