CoAuthor of Chapters 11 and 12

Richard Darnell has lived in Washington all of his life. Raised on a small farm in Thurston County, he spent the majority of his free time fishing, camping, and playing outdoors. Six years after earning a degree from Washington State University in environmental science, he returned to college to prepare for the graduate program in environmental studies at The Evergreen State College. If Rick isn't training with the National Guard, studying, or volunteering for the Olympic Forest Coalition, he's either leaving for a fishing trip, out fishing, coming back from fishing, or wondering why he isn't fishing.
