Travis Keron, while a student at The Evergreen State College, has focused on environmental studies, economics, and political science. He participated in an internationally sponsored conference on climate change held in Vancouver, British Columbia, and was part of a team that created a timber harvest management proposal for the director of the Natural Resources Department of the Skokomish Indian Tribe. Except for a five-year hiatus in a small agricultural town in South Dakota, he has lived most of his life in western Washington, where he enjoys hiking, fishing, and scuba diving.
