Emerging resource faculty

This is work I’d like to continue doing.  I get tremendous inspiration being around people who interrogate their teaching.  I have much to learn about how to effectively lead these kinds of workshops.  I need to make more time to actually dig into the research and inform myself about the philosophies, controversy and research behind the practices and questions I am interested in.  I plan to dive more deeply into this work next year in several ways.  See my self-reflection for the plan.

-          Aha! Metamoments – students identify catalysts to learning.
-          On Seminar   with Jim Harnish
-          Metamoments and Reflection with Audrey Sharp  (Seattle Central C.C.)
-          Brain based learning with Rita Smilkstein (
Western Washington U.)

Completed: Ph.D. in Psychology, U.C. Berkeley, 2002.  Motivated to learn, interested in the topic, feeling skilful, or interested in the work:  what really matters?
