SHOPPING LIST FOR BALI RECIPES

Meat:
2 lbs. pork fillet, sliced into bite-sized pieces

Dairy:
1 egg
1/2 c. milk

Produce:
2 lbs green beans
30 shallots (or 5 yellow onions)
10 cloves garlic
7 red chili peppers
5 hot green chili peppers
1 lime
6 large ripe bananas

Miscellaneous:
1 bottle of sambel (hot chili sauce)
3/4 c. grated coconut
1 lb. fresh tofu
7 T. fresh turmeric
7 T. galangal
1 t. ground cinnamon
sugar
4 t. fresh ginger
10 candlenuts (or blanched, shelled almonds)
2 t. coriander seeds
1 t. cumin seeds
1 t. black peppercorns
1 t. grated nutmeg
2 t. shrimp paste
1 t. fresh lemongrass
1 c. plain flour
1 t. vanilla
2 chicken stock cubes, crumbled
5 T sweet soya sauce
5 T tomato sauce (try to find an Indonesian brand, as they are less sweet)
1 qt. chicken stock
3 c. vegetable oil for frying
1 box shrimp chips (krupuk)
salt
pepper
