SHOPPING LIST FOR BOLIVIA RECIPES

Meat:
3 – 4 pounds of fresh beef tongue

Dairy:
1 egg
1/2 c. butter, softened

Produce:
1 medium green acorn squash, sliced in half and each half cut separately into chunks
3 ripe Haas avocados
3 large, ripe Roma tomatoes, cut into chunks
1 medium ripe tomato, in small chunks
8 garlic cloves
1/2 c. chopped cilantro
1 medium yellow onion, diced
1 medium red onion, thinly sliced
1/2 c. fresh or frozen peas
1 medium carrot, diced
4 new potatoes, quartered
1 serrano chili pepper (or 1 jalapeño pepper)
1/2 small green bell pepper, diced

Grains:
3/4 c. quinoa (available at health food stores)
2 c. white rice
2 c. flour

Miscellaneous:
vegetable oil
5 t. ground aji colorado (or ground chili guajillo)
3-1/2 t. ground cumin
2 t. dried oregano leaves
1-1/2 t. ground cinnamon
1 t. ground cloves
baking powder
1-1/2 c. white sugar
2 c. powdered sugar
black pepper
salt
